Three Angels Children’s Relief

People Served/Type of Services: Community Services, Education/Child and AdolescentDevelopment, Other, Early Childhood, Children, Agricultural work

Types of Help Needed: Building, repairing and painting

Service Opportunity Details: Three Angels consists of a primary school (K-6), medical clinic, orphanage, and small farm. More than 40 Kenilworth Union members have travelled to Haiti to do service work – construction (not requiring high level skills), work on the farm, painting, all necessary things that make for an immensely satisfying project for either a few people or a larger mission trip group with a dozen or so. A rare opportunity to learn about how a successful faith-based NGO serves people in great need in a Caribbean country.

Location: Haiti

Volunteer Ages: Families with teens, Young Adults, Adults, Groups

Frequency: One-time

Frequency Details: Because of Three Angels’ location in Haiti, Mission Trips are a stand-alone service project but we encourage multiple visits from year to year.

Contact Info: To discuss mission trips, contact: Herb Jordan, KUC Liaison and Three Angels board member, jordanherbert@comcast.net, 224-216-9005, or Silvi Pirn, KUC Youth Ministry Director, Silvi@KUC.org

Other Information: Christmas season (week or 2 prior to Christmas) would be an ideal time for a service trip – beautiful weather and an opportunity to be a part of holiday celebrations at Three Angels, including a one of a kind “chicken dinner” ceremony and gift exchange.
