Service Opportunity Details: Together with Urban Growers Collective, Northwestern Settlement will opened its own vegetable garden in Spring 2018. The garden is located in front of Rowe Middle School (directly next to the Settlement House on Augusta Blvd.). Volunteers needed to assist neighbors, students, and staff to plant, nourish, maintain and harvest a variety of seeds/plants during the spring, summer and fall seasons. These vegetables will directly benefit the Settlement’s food pantry and family services program – all fresh produce will be donated to our food pantry and be distributed to our neighbors who utilize it.

Location: Chicago-Noble Square

Volunteer Ages: Families with young children, Families with teens, Teens, Young adults, Adults, Groups

Frequency: Periodic, One-time

Frequency Details: Groups and individuals can sign up to help with the garden whenever they would like.
