Service Opportunity Details: Camp Mariposa® is a national addiction prevention and mentoring program for youth who have been impacted by substance abuse in their families. Camp Mariposa is offered free of charge to all families. Children ages 9-12 attend transformational weekend camps multiple times a year. Campers participate in fun traditional camp activities combined with education and support exercises led by mental health professionals and trained mentors in a supportive environment critical to help break the cycle of addiction. Volunteer mentors attend camp and help provide a positive, fun, supportive and energetic atmosphere for campers.

Frequency: One-time

Frequency Details: Camp Mariposa will take place at Northwestern Settlement’s House In The Wood Camp three times this year: July 27-29, September 7-9, November 2-4
