People Served/Type of Services: Life Transitions Education/Child and Adolescent Development, Adult Job Readiness Children

Types of Help Needed: Teaching, Tutoring, Coaching, and Mentoring

Service Opportunity Details: The agency’s La Posada Interim Housing Program provides housing (apartments) and wraparound services for families experiencing homelessness. Volunteers are needed who can assist its residents in finding and maintaining permanent employment, informing participants of necessary professional skills, and/or helping staff during after-school hours where children come to receive dinner, homework help, and recreational time.

Location: Chicago-Humboldt Park

Volunteer Ages: Young Adults Adults Groups

Frequency: On-going

Frequency Details: 4:00pm-6:00pm is the best time to come for tutoring. We encourage weekly attendance but it is not required.
