Types of Help Needed: Activities with Agency Clients

Service Opportunity Details: Agency serves adults with developmental disabilities both at an onsite day- program, Life Skills Education, and at our Adult Group residences. Interested volunteers will be asked to spend time with participants, engage in activities and build relationships with them. Volunteers at the LSE day program will accompany participants during the day’s programming, such as engaging in and assisting with table games and activities.

Location: Chicago -Humboldt Park and other west side communities

Volunteer Ages: Young Adults Adults

Frequency: On-going

Frequency Details: Regular commitment to agency’s Group Home and LSE programs and participants. Weekend visiting with the Group Home residents may take place on: Saturday and Sunday, afternoons and evenings. The LSE day-program takes place: weekdays, 9am-2pm.
