Kenilworth Union Church is hosting its annual Homecoming Sunday on Sept. 8, inviting both longtime and first-time churchgoers to a new season of worship and fellowship. Worship will take place at 8, 9, and 10:30 a.m., and the Sunday school program will also restart that morning. Sunday offerings for Youth Ministry, seventh grade and older, Breakfast Club and Sunday Noon Devos and Confirmation Classes.
Every Sunday the 10:30 a.m. Traditional Worship is delivered to those who cannot attend in person via live streaming via YouTube. Past worship and sermons can be found at the YouTube link too.
After the 10:30 worship, everyone is invited to stay for a food truck, bounce house, coffee and cookies. With attendees ranging from neighbors curious to get a peek at the church to families who have been members for generations, all are welcome and encouraged to join.
Attendees will also be able to finally see the church after extensive summer renovations. While trucks, heavy duty machinery, and scaffolding have been hiding the church façade since June, churchgoers will at last be up close with the 127-year-old structure that has been freshly strengthened and fortified for generations to come.
