Leonardo at 500: The Art of Leonardo da Vinci

The Art of Leonardo da Vinci is presented by Jeff Mishur, co-owner of Art Excursions. Come enjoy lunch with your friends followed by a program full of historical art and learning.

The year 2019 marks the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death. Intended to commemorate this event the slide lecture focuses on Leonardo’s artistic innovations. By examining his works within the context of Italian art, this program explores the many ways Leonardo’s approach broke with conventions of his time and helped establish the legacy of the Italian Renaissance.

Jeff Mishur is a popular speaker about art historical and travel topics, he has his M.A. in Art History from Northern Illinois University and has taught at the university level for many years.

Art Excursions is a company owned by a husband-and-wife team of art historians and university professors, Dr. Michelle Paluch-Mishur and Jeff Mishur. The company provides private guiding in Chicago; boutique art and culture tours in the United States; and lectures on a wide range of subjects.

If you need to cancel at the last minute we would appreciate a $10 check being sent to Kenilworth Union Church, attention “First Wednesday Luncheon.”
