Special Screening of “Emanuel” for Kenilworth Union and Friends
Join us on Monday, June 10 for a special screening of Emanuel, the hope-filled film about the aftermath of the racially charged Charleston, S.C. church shooting that left nine African Americans dead in 2015. Producer John Shepherd plans to speak after the film which has been called “a poignant story of justice and faith, love and hate, examining the healing power of forgiveness.”
This film, executive-produced by Stephen Curry and Viola Davis, will only be shown to the wider public for two nights though not at any local theaters, and we are grateful to have this advance special showing for the Kenilworth Union community and friends. Come to the Wilmette Theatre, 1122 Central Ave., at 7 p.m. A $10–15 donation is recommended to help cover costs and any proceeds will be donated to victims’ families.
There are a limited number of seats available so please call 847-251-4272 or see Beth Fritz in the Culbertson Room during Fellowship on Sunday, June 2 for advance ticket orders. Contact Beth Fritz with your questions.
