Wintrust began as a community bank in 1991 and has grown to more than 150 locations and with a breadth of services. Mr Wehmer is responsible for overseeing all strategic initiatives and the day-to-day operations. He also serves on the board of directors of Stepan Company (NYSE), as a director of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and the Catholic Extension Society, on the audit committee of Northwestern Memorial Health Care, as a trustee for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital and Foundation, and on the finance board of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
