The Artist's Way: Recovering a Sense of Connection
Thursday, Nov. 14 This week we are to consider how the god we serve is engaged in our life and creativity. If you affirm a loving and god who is fully present, are you open, and do you allow such divine power to flow though us? Is the god you experience distant, uninvolved in your life, and creation? Do you feel alone? Is the god full of judgement? If so how will that impact your creative energy?
The Artist's Way: Recovering a Sense of Abundance
Thursday, Nov. 7 How big is God? How generous is God? These are some of the questions we are being asked to explore in our Morning Pages. Last week as we considered “Recovering a Sense of Possibilities,” one of the tasks was to write five reasons we are angry with God. Grievances. Some shied away from the task. Is it because we already worship an omnipotent God, merciful and just, creator and sustainer, celestial and intimate? Or, are we still not sure what we expect from God?
The Artist's Way: Recovering a sense of Integrity
Thursday, Oct. 24 Moving through week four has elicited wide ranging responses. Some are growing more confident about completing morning pages while others have hit the wall so often, they feel bruised. “What good?” is a valid complaint at that time.
The Artist's Way: We Are on Our Way
Thursday, Oct. 10 Recovering a Sense of Identity, think about your crazymakers and self-doubts. How have these demons shaped you? What would Jesus say to you about them? He cares about your learning to see yourself as he sees you.
Tasks and Timeline Thursday, Oct. 3 we are all to begin writing Morning Pages. We are to write three pages each morning. Every morning. Pen to paper. Don’t judge. Just write and don’t read them. By Wednesday, Oct 9, we will also have completed an Artist Date and many of the tasks at the end of Week One. Tackle those tasks that are attractive and try any that really seem difficult. Have fun on your date. By Wednesday, Oct 9, also read through Week Two if you have time…or you will need to read this in the evening of Oct 9.
