This September 8–10, join fellow Rejoice Singers, KUC Youth Choir members, Junior Bell Choir participants, Chamber Ensemble members and their families in beautiful Green Lake, Wisconsin for the 18th Annual Music Retreat. Please register now.
Did you sing in college or high school? Do you miss the fellowship and musical joy of being in a choir? Please join us for rehearsal and experience the glory of singing to the Lord with gladness. We meet Thursdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Does growing closer to God fit into your life’s plan? Would you be interested in ways to sing your faith, make life-long spiritual connections, learn traditional hymns and the sacred music of the Masters, jam to gospel music, sharpen your musical skills, and inspire the congregation, all while joyfully serving the Lord with gladness?
Beethoven’s righteous words describe our journey of learning Beethoven’s Mass in C Major. Our dedicated Chancel Choir has been working very hard this church season to bring you their very best, all to glorify God. This Masterwork is being offered for worship this Sunday, May 1 at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services.
Be sure to attend this remarkable service this Sunday at 9 and 10:30 a.m., and arrive early. KUC Youth Choir will be starting with the prelude Lord, You Are Good, by Israel Houghton. Invite your friends and neighbors to enjoy this improvisational style of worship. Wear light clothing and comfortable shoes as we will be working up a sweat. You will be up on your feet singing, dancing, and clapping. Yes, clapping is encouraged, but not on beats one and three.
What makes the retreat an event worth repeating (I should know, I’ve been a chaperone for four years) is that it nurtures the very things we value as Kenilworth Union members: trust, love, patience, acceptance, and faith. We are building a community of faith-followers one song at a time. —Carolyn Armstrong, Choir parent and retreat chaperone
