With joy, we extend our gratitude to the staff and congregation of Wilmette’s Sukkat Shalom. On Sundays from July 30 through September 3, our congregation will gather in their inviting and sacred space for Sunday worship at 10 a.m. while our Sanctuary is refreshed and polished. Infant and toddler care is available.
A note from the Board of Trustee’s
Work begins on July 24 for a much-needed renovation in the main Church Sanctuary and Culbertson Room. In addition, the Centennial Room and the first-floor bathrooms will be updated. The work will be completed by September 15. In the sanctuary, we will be refinishing the pews and floors. In the Culbertson Room we will be installing a new wood floor, redoing the ceiling with new and improved acoustic tiles, and repairing and repainting the walls. The Centennial Room will also get a new wood floor and be repainted, as will the hallway that connects the Culbertson Room with the Centennial Room. This will be an inconvenience over the summer, but we are excited to continue to improve our beloved Church facilities. Special thanks to John Palmer, Ann Carey, Bev Lang, Leslie Jones, Allison Schmitt, Bruce Linger, and Scott Fowkes for their contributions to the renovation project.
