Outreach & Service : Rummage Sale

Every July over 450 women, men and youth organize and work at the Rummage Sale, which generates proceeds for Kenilworth Union Church’s Christian Outreach agencies. Last year, the Rummage Sale had gross revenues of $104,500. With careful monitoring of expenses, Rummage’s contribution to the KUC Outreach Fund was $82,000, it’s largest ever contribution.

The Rummage Sale for 2012 will be held on July 21st.  Purchases may be made by cash (or checks with proper ID only), no credit cards.  Items are dropped off during the summer, beginning in June, and sorting lasts until the sale. Many volunteers are needed to make the Rummage Sale a success. Customers come to this well known sale from all over the Chicago area as well as Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. Besides help with sorting and pricing merchandise, we need help with communications and Preview deBallage, a rummage fashion show and luncheon. In addition to helping to raise money for our Outreach agencies, you will enjoy the camaraderie, meeting new friends, and renewing connections. Click on the topics below for more Rummage information.
