On Thursday, September 14, we welcome Rabbi Evan Moffic, author of the newly released, The Happiness Prayer: Ancient Jewish Wisdom for the Best Way to Live Today, in the Culbertson Room at 7 p.m. for a book reading and signing.
Popular author, Rabbi Moffic is returning to Kenilworth Union to share the spiritual power of an ancient prayer called “The Happiness Prayer” discovered in a 2,000 year old text. Rabbi sheds light on an enduring prayer that captures the means and the meaning of joyous living through 10 easy practices that will appeal to everyone. Although not required, Rabbi Moffic’s book serves as a companion and is available for pre-order at The Book Stall and will be released on September 12.
Rabbi Evan Moffic serves Congregation Solel in Highland Park and is one of the country’s youngest senior rabbis in the Reform Movement. Rabbi Moffic’s previous books include What Every Christian Needs to Know about Passover: What It Means and Why It Matters, Wisdom for People of all Faiths: Ten Ways to Connect with God, and Shalom for the Heart: 50 Torah-Inspired Devotions for a Sacred Life. In addition, he maintains a widely read blog and lectures throughout the US churches, interfaith audiences, Jewish centers, and synagogues.
