Antique Road Show Frederick Dose Style

Presented by Frederick Dose, Art historian 

Join us in welcoming Frederick Dose, an art historian, who appraises fine art and antiques for insurance, estate, divorce and expert testimony. In business since 1980, Dose establishes fair market and replacement valuations for a wide array of categories including Americana, archaeological art and artifacts, books, collectibles, furniture, and furnishings.

Specializing in antiquities he is also one of the few professionals in the country that handles the appraisal of original cartoons. With undergraduate and graduate degrees in fine art, Dose has taught at several universities, and has co-authored a book on the subject of the appraisal and insurance of fine art and antiques.

Coming highly recommended by well-heeled Chicagoan’s, Dose works throughout the mid-west and the entire United States. Described as meticulous, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable.

Frederick will be happy to appraise some of our rarities. Have something that you would like to have an idea of its value? Please feel free to come with your small art objects, collectible (no jewelry) and stories/history associated with your item/rarity! Also acceptable are pictures of larger items such as furniture for Frederick inspect and give a verbal evaluation and insights. He will evaluate as many items as time allows… maybe the first 25 folks.
