Congregational Care : Knitting Ministry

Come join us twice a month for an afternoon of knitting and conversation. Experienced knitters and beginners are all welcome! We meet at the church from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays each month and knit prayer shawls to comfort those who are going through difficult life transitions. We also knit lap robes for American soldiers in hospitals abroad. This is an opportunity to share your knitting skills and/or learn new ones as we make projects for those in need. It is a fun afternoon of sharing and caring! Come join us. For more information, contact Bonnie McColl.

On Wednesday, May 17 the Knitting Ministry hosted a blue blanket party for Katie Lancaster. Each knitter lovingly knitted a portion of the blanket to welcome Baby Lancaster.

Knitting Ministry 62 Lap Robes

Seven crafters from the Knitting Ministry gathered on October 21, Beth Adamoli, Kathy Evertsberg, Susi Swisher, Bonnie McColl, Martha Hoza, Judith Wentz, and Judy Vandeveld, to make fleece scarves for the homeless. They traded in their knitting needles for sharp scissors and within a couple hours of cutting, chatting, and laughing produced 62 scarves!
