Christmas is a season of giving in response to God’s love and grace in Jesus Christ. Jesus came into the world as a vulnerable baby, dependent on his family and his community as he grew into a man. In the wider community of Chicago in which we live, there are many who are vulnerable, struggling to live day by day. The Christmas Outreach Fund is a special program that provides the opportunity for members of Kenilworth Union to give a “Christmas Gift” that will be used to support selected social service agencies that are a part of the Outreach of our church.
The monies from the Christmas Outreach Fund will go to our partner agencies to help comfort and encourage those in need, from runaways on the streets of the city to mother’s with children needing a place to live, from free medical care for the poor to a place that opens its doors each evening to feed the hungry every single day of the year.
