Children’s Ministries : Outreach

“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and soul and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself” Luke 10:27 and Mark 12:29-31

Service is a part of all we do at Kenilworth Union Church and we try to foster a culture of service to others in our children.

Our lessons in the Bible are centered on serving and they extend beyond the classroom for additional opportunities to serve. Examples include our Kids 4 Kids Club Night, Food Packing event, and supporting local and global efforts such as The Night Ministry in Chicago, the Ghana Project in Africa, and relief efforts in Haiti.

We depend on parents to volunteer and to encourage their children to participate. We hope to move from awareness to compassion to action through age appropriate programs for our children.

Each year the children and families of KUC partner with an Outreach agency. Throughout the year, there are opportunities for fellowship, education and service. During the 2011-2012 school year, our chapel collections will benefit the Infant Welfare Society.
