Rev. Catherine Knott, known to our children as Rev. Cat, has taken a new position. She will begin this fall at Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana as the College Chaplain. Along with the worship and pastoral care duties of the Chaplain, she will have an opportunity to teach Theology, which will be such a gift to the college.
Hanover College is my alma mater and the Chaplain’s office and Theology department were important places for me as I explored my own vocation and considered all the big questions of the universe. It is delightful to send Catherine off to this new adventure, working with a new generation of students.
As you might know, Catherine has been working at Kenilworth Union Church in our children’s chapel while completing her Ph.D. coursework in Pastoral Theology at Garrett Theological Seminary.
I am grateful for her chapel leadership these last three years, telling God’s stories to our youngest children. She was dedicated to the work of “translating” the biblical stories, not only to children but also to their parents. You can see the culmination of her work at Kenilworth Union Church here: http://kucfaithshare.blogspot.com/
Many blessings to you, Rev. Cat!
