The Six-Week Spruce Update, Week III

Reports this week have come in and we are glad to let you know that the project is on schedule and we are planning a Sunday, September 10, 9 and 10:30 a.m. worship in the Kenilworth Union sanctuary as well as worship and communion at 8 a.m. and the return of Bill and Katie. The floors have been stained and the pews refinished and fresh upholstered pads are due to be delivered soon. The architecture of our liturgical interior remains but hints of fresh church decorating, lighting,  and polishing will brighten this sacred space.

Because of Sukkat Shalom’s liberal sharing of their holy space there has been little disruption to our Sunday church services. We are grateful to our hosts for their kindness and to Rabbi Gordon who will be our guest preacher on Sunday, August 20 at 10 a.m. where he addresses, Heresy of Narcissism.

The Centennial Room sub-floor has been installed and the craftsmen are working their way down the hall to the east side of the Culbertson Room with the new boards. Recessed lighting was installed in the Culbertson room (to enhance lighting) and AJN Preschool first-floor bathrooms received built-in hand dryers and baby changing station.
