Does growing closer to God fit into your life’s plan? Would you be interested in ways to sing your faith, make life-long spiritual connections, learn traditional hymns and the sacred music of the Masters, jam to gospel music, sharpen your musical skills, and inspire the congregation, all while joyfully serving the Lord with gladness? If the answer is “yes” to any of these aspirations, take a look at the photo above. You are invited to serve God by participating in our Music Ministry Program and Youth Music Retreat.
We encourage you to consider joining the many ensembles of Kenilworth Union. Children in grades 2–5 are invited to join our Church’s Children’s Choir, Rejoice Singers. Tweens and teens can join KUC Youth Choir. Did you sing in high school or college? Consider joining Chancel Choir. We also have two groups (KUC A Cappella and St Cecilia Choir) that only meet occasionally. Our Jr Bell Choir and Youth Chamber Ensemble need players as well.
All rehearsal times are on our web site.
Our Seventeenth Annual Youth Music Retreat will be on Sep 9–11, in Green Lake, Wisconsin. Current and future members of Rejoice, KUC Youth Choir, and Chamber Ensemble will be working with Vernon Clark and the Church music staff. Parent chaperones are also needed. (The retreat is not required, yet highly encouraged) This weekend is a great way to bond and get a head start on the music for the year. Here is the attached letter about the retreat. It is not too late to join, and we would love to have you.
So join us in following your path to Music Ministry. Every voice makes a difference! Email Lisa Bond for more information regarding the 2016/2017 schedule/calendar and the Youth Music Retreat details and forms.
I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me. Psalm 13:6
